The latest Canadian Express Entry General Draw has just concluded, inviting a total of 2,095 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 529 to apply for permanent residence.

Ministerial Instructions dictate that in case of tied scores, the cut-off is determined by the date and time of profile submission. Notably, this draw did not specify a particular program, allowing invitations to be extended to candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Provincial Nominee Program.

Comparatively, the previous draw held on April 10, 2024, welcomed 1,280 candidates from all programs without any category restrictions, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 549 CRS points.

What Express Entry Program?

It’s an application management system for economic immigration candidates, encompassing the FSWP, CEC, and FSTP. Eligible candidates submit profiles to the IRCC website, where they are evaluated based on factors like age, language proficiency, education, work experience, and occupation, culminating in a final CRS score.

Candidates with the highest CRS scores stand the best chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada. Once an ITA is received, applicants submit their final applications to IRCC, with processing typically completed within six months.
